Bridesmaid dress colors to go with my Color Scheme?

I'm in the stage of figuring out the color scheme, dress colors, flower colors, etc.  I'm more traditional and want to keep the colors warm and neutral, so I decided on a romantic & elegant color scheme of Ivory & Champagne, lace, with accents of black (black tuxes, black lettering on the invitations, etc.).  I have dubbed it "Classic Regency Vintage" lol.  I'm at a loss of what color to have as my bridesmaids dresses though.  I don't like bold colors, and I like to keep things soft and natural.  I initially wanted lace dresses, but found that they are ridiculously hard to find.  We are all from Michigan..... so pretty pale.  I am worried that champagne or blush would just wash everyone out, and I want my ladies to feel beautiful and comfortable in their dresses.  Any suggestions? My wedding, of course, isn't till 2014 so I won't be doing dress shopping for a long while.  I'm just brainstorming color scheme options that will pull together nicely.  Here is a general idea of what I'm going for, but less "extravagant":

The best thing to do is take your girls and try on dresses in ivory and champagne, and see how they look on them. There are many different shades of both - you can have them each in a different shade that looks best on them. Champagne does not necessarily wash pale girls out:

I'm just getting ideas.  I won't be shopping for bridesmaid dresses for a long while.  I just want to find a color scheme that fully works and pulls together.

Consider having the bridesmaids try on the Rosewood, Mercury, and Golden colors.

But of course, wait for awhile!! Sizes/styles/tastes change.

I'm normally very pale and ended up getting a champagne colored wedding dress. It looked great against my pale skin when I tried it on in February. By time November came I ended up still having my tan from the summer, and the color still looked great. Or a little brown (latte at David's Bridal) would proabably also work in your color scheme.

Mori Lee just came out with the "Lace" line of bridesmaids dresses which are, of course, lace! There are 6 different styles I believe, and most come with a black sash but you could always replace easily (and cheaply!) with a champagne sash if you wanted. The dresses only come in black, white or ivory, but perhaps black or ivory would work (depending on just how pale you're talking - I'm from Michigan originally so I know what you mean!)

I'd start by going shopping with a few of your bridesmaids to see what colors they look best in. You won't truly know if a color washes them out without them trying it on.

Have you tried looking for lace dresses in normal stores instead of limiting to bridesmaids dresses? 

They are a pretty big trend right now and I'm sure you can find them in lots of colors. I have one white and other one black and even being casual they look pretty elegant with the right accesories.
