Emerald cut e-ring, what kind of wedding ring?

Hi Ladies

I have an emerald cut ring and the setting is too low for a wedding ring to sit flush, causing that 'dreaded gap'

Just wondering what kind of ring the other emerald cut ladies used. Im not crazy about the curved band because I wouldnt be able to wear it by itself.

Thanks!

  • You can have a jeweler custom make one that will fit with your e-ring.  Have you gone to jewelry stores and just tried on rings?  That's the only way you'll really get a feel for what will be good with your ring.

  • i dont know....but your e-ring is GORG! i agree w/ PP. go to the jeweler and try on diff rings to see what works. GL!
  • Hi - I've seen some bands that fit under the EC engagement ring. Like this one.

    Lovely ring!
  • I did not like contour bands either and bought this ring from Jared to wear with my round pave engagement ring. The broad part of the e-ring fits right into one of the notches in the wedding  band. You could look for something similar, or have it custom made.

i have a heart shaped ring and the same problem ,custom has seemed to be my only  option, what I'm doing is getting a normal band and wearing my e ring on my right hand, then later we will do the custom wedding band

  • I work in the jewelry industry and have seen many many gorgeous engagements and bands and quite often the prettiest ones do not sit flush together. I personally like a more loose look. If it is the snug fit is the look you want, then I would definatley go to a local jeweler and ask him to make one just for you. Many jewelers utilize computerized programs that allow you to see it on a computer screen before they complete it.
    Good Luck!
  • if you need a recommendation for someone in your area let me know. I can find one for you.  :>)~
  • My emerald cut sits low but my band is able to sit flush beneath it; I"m wondering how low your setting is?

I have an all-baguette band similar to this; mine may not be as "high" which is why it can lay flush. (sorry for size of pic).

  • I went through this same dilemma while trying to choose my wedding band to go with my engagement ring that is a similar shape to yours. I opted for one that is straight (not contoured) because I think there will be a day where I won't wear my engagement ring all the time. Our jeweler recommended picking a wedding band that I like that compliments my ring, wearing them together for awhile, if the gap makes me crazy he said we could have a custom "spacer" ring made that will thinly fit between my E ring and wedding band thus closing the gap. My set is white gold so he said a spacer ring will only be about $200 bucks. Hope this helps!
