Veil input please!! :o)

Here I am with one of my bridesmaids. I have a mermaid/drop waist style dress and 2 weeks to go before the wedding. I am not sure I want to lug my dress around looking for the veil, and feel at a loss on what may look good here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ps: I will be wearing my hair lightly pulled back with some curls hanging

  • My vote is for a single layer chapel or cathedral length veil--but I'm a long veil fan :)
  • A beautiful ornate dress like that looks great with a simple, elegant drop veil

  • definitely a single layer veil, i would keep it simple it doesnt need rhinestones or beading or anything). btw, you have one of the prettiest dresses on the knot! i really love it.

  • Thanks Jeanna85- I absolutely fell in love with a dress at the beginning of our engagement (we have been engaged about 2 years) and shortly after I took a break from the search. About 1 year later my friend dragged me out to try on dresses because it was "that time" and I was completely drawn to the one I am wearing in the photo. Since it was a sample store, I wanted to make sure I was getting a good deal so I went home to research it. A stock photo of the dress came up and I realized it was the one I fell in love with at the beginning.  Laughing
  • I was torn over catherdral or drop. I really like the drop pic leslie&ralph posted...
    (deep contemplation...)

    And I agree no adornments.

    Thanks girls!

It's a great dress! I'd say keep the veil simple, your dress is awesome and you don't want the veil to overpower it.

  • If you want a blusher then do the drop if not then do the single layer cathedral.

  • I love the dress and both ideas. you could probably combine  both and take it  off for the reception.  Maybe a pretty jewelry comb in your hair would be pretty for the reception...
