Need help Embelishing my Dress!!!!

I just purchased by dress, and I love it, but the sweatheart neckline is very plain. I would like to have something to bling it up, with a lace trim, or better yet a crystal trim. I have looked online, but can not beading, pearls, or crystals on a strip.

Do you have any suggestions of where I can go online to buy and bring to a seamstress?

This is my dress:

Many thanks!
Leah

I wouldn't add anything to it because of how detailed the skirt is, but just wear a really awesome statement necklace. I honestly think adding anything to the neckline would look really out of place.

  • Ditto to pps.  However, if you absolutely want to add something, I wouldn't buy the added piece online, that is something you want to buy in person to make sure it really goes with the dress.  Anything that isn't the same type of fabrics and color as the dress is going to look out of place.

Thank you everyone for your input. Maybe that is why the designer did not put embelishments on the neckline. I think I will let it be, and take your advice on getting a statement necklace, that will be fun. Thank you so much!

  • Statement earrings or statement necklace only for this beautiful dress.
  • I disagree - it needs some bling - I'd head to an antiquest store and get some vintage rhinestone broach and pin it on somewhere. Vintage rhinestones look so much better than today's rhinestones - they actually look like diamonds. I plan to use some antique broaches to glam up my dress and/or my bouquet, if needed.

While I don't think it NEEDS bling, this is a good suggestion for something to jazz it up a bit other than just going with a necklace.  Vintage brooches can be very pretty and a small brooch would be much less distracting from the rest of your dress than trying to attach something all across the neckline.
  • I think you need a statement necklace with bling if bling is what you are looking for. I wouldn't add anything to the dress itself unless you went with a simple sash.
