What colour combination should the groomsmen wear?

My wedding is at the end of May but we have not finalised the Groomsmen's suits yet. The colour scheme for the wedding is Navy Blue, Ivory and Silver. The Groomsmen would be wearing navy blue suits but what is a good combination shirt and tie to wear?

I would probably go with silver shirt, navy tie. Or a lighter blue shirt and a darker silver tie. What is your groom wearing?

From experience, there are not a lot of nice ivory shirts out there. (There are SOME, I've seen them in photos! But have yet to find them in RL myself.)

I honestly would add another accent color to incorporate into their tie.  I think navy, ivory, and silver may be too bland for the guys.  Try tying in orange, green, or pink into just the ties for a little more color.

Are the BMs carrying a certain color flower? Or are you? You could incorporate any of that color into the ties.

Ivory shirt x100! There's something about colored shirts for suits and tuxedos that can look really dated in a few years.  I would go with a different color tie.  You don't need to include all the 'colors' you're using on your groomsmen.

I like stefani's idea of a maybe doing a lighter blue shirt. It is really hard to find a nice ivory shirt.

What does your FI think? He should make the final call.

I would do a white shirt rather than ivory. I agree with CVL that another subtle color in the tie might help things look a bit better ...

Oh these are some really great ideas. My fiancee was trying to put together some combinations but couldn't pinpoint a precise combination. The ivory shirts are really hard to get. We looked almost everywhere and could not find the colour ivory that would look good with the combination.

I didn't think of the splash of colour idea too. My bridesmaids would be carrying red and ivory stargazer bouquets. I did this just to give a little added pop and splash to the colours. So I guess we could incorporate the red into the tie. I am going to look and see what I can find.
