Suit for my dad

My dad asked me if it would be okay if he wore his bluish-black suit to my wedding. It seems perfectly fine to me but is it okay according to  traditions? We are having a more or less formal wedding, with the church ceremony and ballroom. I think that if he already has a good suit, I would skip shopping for another one. What would be your opinions?

It will be perfectly fine. Let him wear what he wants. If he is comfortable with it and it saves him from renting or buying another, go for it. He is not part of the WP, so it will be fine in pics, too.

My dad bought a plain black suit for our wedding.  FIL bought a tux.  I was originally a little upset that my dad would be underdressed, but when I saw them together, I really couldn't tell who had bought what.  Your dad will look great!

My dad is looking for a black suit as he doesn't have one. We are telling the male BP members to wear black suits, white shirts, and we bought them silver ties and pocket squares.

Your dad will be fine in whatever he has. But I'm pretty easy going and no-bridezilla about this, LOL.
