Beach Wedding - Father of the Bride Attire

We're having a fairly casual beach wedding.  My fiancee is wearing khaki's and a linen shirt.  Any thoughts on what my father should wear?  I'd prefer he doesn't wear a suit or a tie or look too formally dressed but I also don't want him to be too informal.

I would just show him what your FI plans on wearing and he should get an idea of what to wear.

My dad wore a linen suit, which was made by the same company that did my husband's.  It looked sharp.  You could just tell your dad to wear khakis as well.

Khakis and a button down dress shirt should be fine!

I'm thinking of this option, too- if we're at the beach in the fall maybe doing navy suits with red ties on the men, women in red... I love linen, but would be worried that by the time the photos were taking it'd all be a wrinkled mess!
