Bustling a Chiffon Dress

Does anyone have good examples of bustling a slim A-line chiffon dress? My dress is the Mori Lee style 2203 and I am absolutely in LOVE with it, although I have not been impressed with the bustle options the seamstress gave me. All three of them involved just one or two bustle points, they did not hang nicely, and the only one that did not make my dress pucker on the sides made me look like I had a tail. i almost feel as though I could figure out a better option myself! Is there a good resource with pictures of different bustling options? Or even better, a good reasonably priced seamstress in the WA area? : ) Would love to hear other brides experiences! Thanks so much!

Re: Bustling a Chiffon Dress

  • hey try this site it is a great reference! my mom is making my dress so we had to do some research as to what we are going to do. I have kinda the opposite problem in that my dress is going to be out of duponi silk so will be very heavy and the only kind I knew about was the little buttons - which are very difficult if you are not used to them by the way! babysat at a wedding where no one knew how to do so she asked me to try it - very finicky! Definitely get whomever it is that will be helping you bustle your dress to practice! I am pretty sure I am going to go with the Austrian Bustle.
    hope that helps!
