  • Attire = whatever you want.  Bouquet = yes.

  • I'm doing this dress for our civil ceremony:

I wanted something that I could wear again, but still feel like a bride in.  My FI is wearing a suit.  I agree, though, that you can wear whatever you want.  We're having a big wedding in July and I have a ballgown wedding dress for that.

  • Wear what you want.  There are a lot of white simple dresses in every price range.  Don't focus on it being titled a wedding dress when you buy it.  Wear something that makes you feel special, like a bride should.

Oh wow, thank you so much for clarifying that for me.  Should I do a reprint on the invites?  How should it be worded?  Do I invite them to the "vow renewal?"

  • I recommend a well-fitted lounge (aka "business") suit for your FI. Something in navy blue or charcoal/medium grey would be classic. Avoid pinstripes, as that's to business-y. Avoid black, since that's too somber.

A crisp white shirt with a medium-spread point collar (no buttons on the collar), wedding tie (glen plaid, sheperd's check, pin dot), white linen pocket square, and polished brown lace-up shoes (black is ok with grey) will round out the look.
