When to order tuxes?

My wedding is in Sept and I'm having difficulty getting my fiance to go and pick out the tuxes. How far in advance do you usually have to order them? I'm kind of freaking out thinking we are waiting too long.

You have plenty of time. We didn't reserve ours until about 8 weeks before the wedding.

We ordered ours 2 months before, I think. Everyone had to reserve their tux 2 weeks before the wedding, so in theory all the guys could go in 2-4 weeks before and be fine.

Check with the place your ordering the tuxes from in case they have a different timeline, but like PP's said usually 2 months prior also to allow your GM's plenty of time to go get measured. Our wedding is in August and we are going to do tuxes in the couple weeks

We picked the colors and styles 5 months out, but the dress shop said the guys only have to come and get measured a month from the wedding.

I'd say August would be fine to order them; if you're really concerned, then July, but since the tuxes aren't as hugely interiguet as the wedding gown, you don't need AS much time.

My FI & I went & picked out the tuxes together. The lady said that all of the guys had to get measured at least 3 months before the wedding. Then when they come in they'll try them on & get fitted again for any changes. So I would ef. check with your store and see what they recommend. And if it helps we are gettting married in October so I plan on starting to get the guys to go around July. Also my FI thought we only needed to go a week before so what I did was I took him on errands with me  and the tuxedo shop happened to be where I was taking my errand!  lol I know it wasn't right but I knew otherwise we would wait until a week before.
