Help me choose?

I went dress shopping last night and had a great time. I found 2 dresses I really liked and would now like to hear your opionions.

Dress #1 Maggie Sottero "Kendra" $1400.00

Dress #2 Maggie Sottero "Adorae" $1300.00

Re: Help me choose?

  • I like the second one. The belt really accentuates your waist. I like how It also brings your eyes up from the bottom of the dress. The first dress is a little too simple for my tastes and its just sorta there. The belt really makes the look. I also like how the fabric falls better in the second dress the first one its just like it was thrown on the floor, the second its set up like waves in a nice organized format.

  • I like them both but I really like the pick-ups in the first one.  That's just my own personal style though.  They both look great on you!

PS - I biased.  My dress is similar to a hybrid of the two Wink

Dress number 1 is so romantic and lovely!! The pickups like another PP mentioned are gorgeous, and I normally hate pickups! It also flatters you really well. I feel like I've seen so many brides wear something similar to number 2, so I'd definitely go with number 1. But go with your gut! What do YOU love? :)
  • #2. Definitely more flattering on your figure. I think #1 has too much ruched fabric at the bottom for your petite frame. It's overwhelming.

  • I love them both! I don't think you can make a wrong choice :) As the PP said, I also normally hate pick-ups... but I think the first dress pulls it off well! Love the belt and the clean lines of the 2nd dress, though :) Go with your gut! (Something I had to learn myself!)

  • Both are gorgeous, but I think pickups are a little less timeless (they've went out of trend in my area already) so I would go with The Adorae for it's classic beauty.
  • I'm an adorae bride so clearly I'm biased :)  Also, I don't like the pickups on No. 1
  • I prefer the first one. I feel like the second one has been done and I've seen it on SO many brides lately.

  • I think the second on is more flattering to your figure, and I live the belt.

    Number 2 for sure!

  • They both look great on you!  I voted for the first one but I would add a beaded sash to define your natural waist.  I actually tried on the Adorae a few weeks ago.   I thought it was a beautiful dress, but I felt like the belt was too high on the dress leaving a lot of blank space.

Sidenote: If you are thinking about buying either of them you may want to check out other stores or see if the store can work with you on the price, because those prices seem high to me.  I know the shop I visited had the Adorae for $1150, and I've found that some of the bridal shops vary a few hundred dollars in price for the same dress (at least in my area).

Hi - FYI I bought a Maggie Sottero dress and got the impression that there isn't much difference in price from one store to another. I think the price is set by the designer in this case.

  • I love the belt on #2 and how romantic the dress is! love it.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I voted for #2, but after looking more I would love the #1 with a beaded belt added.
  • #2!!  #2!!

I don't care for pick ups.
  • These are two very different looks. Not in terms of style, per say, but in terms of what the dress evokes in you. The first dress is classy with a fun bottom. It really is lovely and accentuates your waist. The second dress is va-va-voom. You look so sexy and it really accentuates all the curves. This decision is really up to how you want to feel at your wedding. Both dresses are winners in my opinion

  • Love #2. I think pickups are super trendy, and I'm not a fan.
But you do pull both of them off great.
