Short or Long Bridesmaid Dress???

I am getting married on the evening of Dec 31 and I found a really cute bridesmaid dress it is cocktail style, but it is knee-length.  My girls will be in black dresses.  Please give me your opinion on going with a shorter length dress in Dec.

Either way I think you will be fine. I like shorter dresses personally...I think long dresses in some fabrics can look "cheap" in photos. Plus seeing that your wedding is on new years eve I definitely would go cocktail length!

I'd go with cocktail length, since it's a NYE wedding.  For as long as you're not doing photos outside with the girls, I don't think it will be a problem.

I think shorter length is fine these days unless you are doing a black tie event.

Don't forget to ask your girls what they want though. Mine chose long, as my wedding was on the more formal side, but I was surprised. I ended up loving the look though.

I'm doing shorter dresses for my bridesmaids. I'm having a summer wedding and the reception is outside so the whole feel of the wedding is fun and laid back. I never would have thought I would like short dresses but you see them more and more now.
