Black Suit/Tux Alternative

Hi Ladies!

I am looking for some ideas for an alternative to a black suit or tux. We are having an outdoor ceremony in July on a golf course, but it will be an evening ceremony around 530 or 6. The bridesmaids will be wearing champagne colored dresses, and I am having a hard time visualizing any color other than black that will look nice. I have seen some tan colored suits, but if they end up purchasing suits I would like for it to be something that could be worn again, and I cannot imagine a tan suit will get a lot of wear! Any thoughts?

I think black suits would look best with champagne dresses, and will have the most versatile options for wearing again. You might be able to get away with a charcoal suit if you're going with a less formal feeling.

ETA: I would scratch the idea of tan suits completely. I can't imagine they would work well with champagne BM dresses.

I agree with PP's plus I like the idea of a darker suit for an evening wedding.

When I think tan suits, I think of a summer beach wedding.

I just posted yesterday what I want my FI grooms men to wear. The plan is for a navy sportcoat, white button up shirt, a tie, and khaki's. I am going for a preppy casual but it will fit in perfect with my dress and the location. It may be too casual for your venue but just another idea!

Here is almost exactly what I want. (FYI - FI loves the idea)
