Short hair

Hello!

I am looking for ideas for a somewhat casual, evening wedding in the Spring.  I have short hair that is perfectly happy to be styled straight, curly, or in between.  I haven't seen any pictures of short styles and I have no idea what, if anything, I will wear in my hair.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

What does your dress look like? 

My friend who has short hair used hair pins to give the illusion of an updo.  Either way you can wear anything from a traditional or birdcage veil to a hair comb with a flower or jewels.  What's your preference?

My hair is actually close to medium, but my groom likes it shorter.  I just don't have a stylist here yet, so I haven't cut it in a while.  My dress will likely be a vintage throwback...50s.  It will absolutely have straps!  And, with our casual, outdoor wedding, it is probably going to be short.

For the dress, I have looked at some patterns online and am currently looking for a seamstress.  I am only 5'1" so this seems like the best option.
I'm just hoping and looking for hair ideas somewhere out there in the world of weddings that I can begin to consider.

With short hair and a 50s dress - finger waves seems like a no-brainer to me!

I agree finger waves is a great choice - or something like this (depending on how long/short your hair is by the time of your wedding)

Oh my!  How sheltered am I to not have been able to find that myself?  My search is over.  Now to decide if there will be anything in my finger waves and to find someone who can create them!
