Check out my Dress (PIP) :)

I love my dress completely. I feel super confident while I am wearing it. When it came in, I took it to my mom's house to show her and my MOH and I never wanted to take it off. It is everything I have ever wanted: tea-length, lace, buttons, and zero sparkle.

BUT I only have these 3 pictures of myself in it, taken  on an iPod, and they make me a little self conscious about my height. Do you ladies think I look like a child playing dress up?

I'm not at all tempted to buy a new dress. I love it, and if i look short, so be it, I'm just hoping for some reassurance. If it helps, I promise I will stand up straighter on my wedding day, I've been practicing my posture :)

  • You look stunning!!
  • I think its beautiful !  I don't think you look like a kid playing dress up, but it does look long for a "tea length" dress. Maybe you should have your seamstress take an inch or two off the bottom?   But, really... I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Do you think taking an inch or two off is feasible/worth it when I'm only 24 days out? I really didn't mind the length when i tried it on in the store/at home, so I'm tempted to just stick some heels on and call it a day if it would be a hassle to shorten it.

Here's the dress on the model, and it's def tea-length on her.

I think it'll be completely worth it. You have plenty of time. Right now the dress, while beautiful!, looks either like it's too short for you or like it's too long for a tea-length. Have a tailor trim 2-3 inches off and I think you'll love your dress that much more!

  • I agree with what has been said about taking the hem up a few inches. It really is a beautiful dress, congratulations!

  • Agreed with PP about taking the legth up, I say about two or three inches.

Would you consider another veil? I think a shorter veil will be more flattering.

Otherwise the dress does fit you perfectly and its gorgeous!

  • It's beautiful on you.  I agree about taking it up 2-3 inches since you have the time.  Compare where the dress hem hits the model's leg and where it hits yours.  A couple of inches will make all the difference. Congratulations on finding "the" dress!

It's a fantastic dress, but I agree with PPs on seeing if you can have the hem-line taken up a bit.  Right now it looks like it's hitting you just above the ankles, which is a little bit awkward.  If it hit mid-calf I think it'd be more flattering (although frankly, you look gorgeous either way, so feel free to totally disregard my opinion on this!).
