Londonderry Country Club

Anybody have their reception at the Londonderry Country Club? I have been waiting for a phone call back from the function director but havn't heard from her yet. They have a list of "authorized caterers" they use and a friend told me that one of the caterers had really decent prices with great food. That is what I was mainly calling about, because I find that the best way for me to detemine if a  specific reception hall is even something I should be looking at, is by the menu prices. My main concern is budget (which is very low..) and I was wondering if any of you lady had a reception at the country club. Is the banquet facility nice? What catering service did you choose to go through off their list? What were the prices per a dish (if you don't mind saying)? Any advice would be great.

Oh, and I don't need suggestions on other places in the area that are good on a budget...I'm pretty sure I have scoured every possible wedding reception site in the NH/MA area LOL...I do have a few other places on my radar that are on the much cheaper end (without going VFW style).

Thanks Ladies!!!!!!

I believe Castle Catering or something like that was one of them.  I think they were located in Manchester.

There were 2 others.  I can see if my friend still had the paper I have her with that info on it.

Tupello Music hall you can bring in catering and maybe alcohol.

Thanks DitryWater :) She actually just called me and (incase anybody else was wondering the same thing and reads this) they are: Castle Caterors (some of the cheapest prices I've found!), Pinkerton Tavern, & Greenhouse Cafe. I'm really excited they had options that were affordable! Now if only they had pictures on the website of the banquet hall lol...I would like an idea of what the place looks like before I go for a tour (since the tour wouldnt be for quite a while because the wedding is probably 2 years away)

    Hi there-

I suggest looking into the Executive Court Banquet in Manchester. Its very affordable and food is part of the package there with no room fees. They have beautiful grounds for a ceremony or just pictures! I'm getting married there in Oct 2011!

Not sure how tight your budget it, but we're using The Shattuck Golf Club in Jaffrey, which is about half-way between Nashua & Keene.  Nice place and the people are uber-friendly.  Their prices, including the hall, linens, food, champagne toast, wedding coordinator, ranges between $47-$60 pp depending on the package you choose.  The coordinator there is Donna Benoit, (603)878-2000.  Their website is:  www.shattuckweddings.com.

Best wishes....finding the location is often the biggest hurdle.

Thanks guys... I have however checked out both places. In fact I'm pretty sure I scoured all of NH and MASS.  The budget is as tight as it can possibly be without going VFW style.

My friend got married there and it was nice. Her aunt actually owns the place. She had her wedding in Nov and the only drawback to that was the bar is near the entrance so every time someone opened the door and we were standing in line I froze LOL! She did use castle catering which was good. There is a fireplace in the reception room, and she got married in front of that . The dance floor isnt bad either, but I suggest looking at the place and getting an idea of how many people you have etc. I dont know what the grounds looked like because it was a night time wedding..

Have you gone to check it out yet? If so how was it?

I had been looking for a nice place in this area that allows outside caterers. Only because I absolutely LOVE Pinkerton Tavern and I wanted them to cater my wedding.

My dream of that happening kind of went out the window though since the town of Derry will be tearing down Pinkerton Tavern in the near future in order to widen the road..... Maybe things will change though!

Yeah I hear they are gunna tear down Pinkerton Tavern. I never checked the place out, sorry. I ended up booking Alpine Grove in Hollis, NH. We always wanted a backyard BBQ wedding but don't have a yard to use that will hold our 110 guests. We went with the pavilion room at Alpine Grove that includes lawn games for free in the room price ($350.00).

    Good luck!!!!!
