My shoes

I bought some shoes for my wedding. They are blue (for my something blue). The ad online said marine blue, and I had an idea of what that would be, but when they came in the mail today, they look more "navy" to me. My wedding colors are black, white and yellow. Do you think these navy-ish shoes will be out of place? Or is it fine since you'll hardly see them anway? These are the shoes, if you are curious...

Re: My shoes

  • Nobody cares.*

If you like the shoes, keep them. If not, return them.

    * I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean it in that, nobody is going to be looking at your shoes. And even if they DO notice the shoes, they won't be critiquing them or comparing it to other blues in your wedding.

And if this will be the ONLY blue thing in your wedding ... then what's the difference between this color going with yellow, versus the marine blue going with yellow?

  • Thanks! That's what I thought! I guess by biggest concern (which I didn't voice in my original question) is navy with all the black. I feel like marine would have been better....but I love the shoes, so maybe I'll just stick with them and say "whatever!"
  • Those look brighter than navy to me.  Cute shoes, btw. :)
  • They are dark enough that they would blend in with all the black. If someone notices that you are wearing blue shoes, it's a great conversation piece: "They are my something blue!" How original :-)
Those are nice shoes and you can wear them again. They'll look great with jeans!
  • Actually, I really love those shoes! My shoes are chartruese (in bio) but am looking for navy shoes for my BMs, where did you find them?
