Hello everyone,
If you don't mind sharing...How much did you cake cost? I am trying to figure out how much to budget for a cake from Jacques for about 115 people.

Thanks!!!!

Our cake from Jaques is coming with our wedding package from our venue, but we wanted to upgrade to a specific cake on their website.  I called Jaques and they are charging us $150 for the upgrade. I'm not sure if that helps you get an idea of what the cost might be, but I thought a little input might help!

We are doing our cake tasting on Saturday, so I might have a better idea of their cake costs by then.

We did a small tiered cake and two sheet cakes to save cash. It's costing us right around $600, and that is for 160 PLUS it's extra for a square cake. The sheet cakes really cut the cost.

Ours for about 110 people is $362  but we are doing a main cake for 50ish and a sheet in the back for the rest....cut the cost by over $100.  The main cake would be the same height no matter what and then the diameter of the cakes would be smaller.  It was still pretty to me so I was all about saving the money.  Below is the one I chose

PS- It also depends on the filling and such.  We stuck with the basics and buttercream fillings in different flavors.  Fruit and the other fillings cost more

Why don't you give them a call? I think it depends on a bunch of things (like people have said above), including which day and how far you need it delivered.

We priced wedding cakes at three bakeries, including Jacques.  A good rule of thumb is to plan on at least $4-$4.50 per person for the "basic" wedding cake, and then depending upon what type of options/designs you want, they go up from there.  Jacques is located in between Manchester & Concord, so they told me that the delivery and set up fee to the Shattuck (Jaffery), would be about $100, which is in addition to the price of the cake.

Did you check out "Tastefully Wright" in Wilton?  They are on the preferred list of vendors for the Shattuck.  I have not met with them yet, but saw their website--their cakes looked pretty good.  We have not yet decided which cake vendor that we'll be using.  Last year, we used Patisserie Bleu in Nashua for a 25th Wedding Anniversary cake, (which was essentially a wedding cake), and it was AMAZING.  We've also had samples from Frederick's Pasteries, Amherst, and they are very good also, but a bit pricey.

I am using Chickadee Hill Cakes in Sandown NH. Her costs were cheaper than other bakeries. I believe it is costing us about $3.75 per slice. She does not charge extra for the fillings you choose and she will do different tiers different flavors at no charge (we are having a gingerbread cake with cream cheese filling, very excited about this!). Her work is really amazing and they have been great to communicate with so far.

I think chickadee hill cakes are just as yummy as Jacques, but I haven't seen their decorating.  I would have picked them if it wasn't included in my package.
