Winter Wedding

I'm getting married in January and am trying to come up with ideas for a cute way to stay warm outside. My dress is all white (lace) and my girls are wearing (all different) long black dresses, so more formal of a feel... flowers will be bright pops of purples and pinks (my bouquet will be white calas). I was originally thinking of finding some kind of dark purple cardigan or pea coat for myself-- but now I'm thinking white might be better (I'm sure we'll have a couple cute photos of us all bundled up). I definitely don't like the cape or the fur look for myself... and that seems to be what the majority of traditional, formal-ish winter wedding cover-ups look like. Any help brainstorming (for me AND for my bridesmaids!) would be much appreciated! :)

  • Pashminas are always pretty. I'm actually gifting my BMs with Pashminas in our wedding colors.
  • check out www.alightinthebox.com. They have the traditional white & ivory style capes/jackets but I also remembering some of the options coming in some fun colors. A friend of mine used the website for stuff for her wedding and was happy w/products.
  • I'm also getting married in January!  I bought a bridal coat from Eden Bridals, Style No. J1025.  You can see all their offerings here:  http://www.edenbridals.com/Jackets_c_27.html

<div>Watch out when ordering from alightinthebox. I ordered fur wraps (one size "fits" all) for myself and my bridal party because I couldn't resist the low prices. When they arrived, they were so tiny, they couldn't fit around my shoulders (size 8) or any of my bridesmaids (size 4 and up). Customer service was really good about handling my return, but I had to pay the shipping, all the way back to China. I guess the moral here is make sure you definitely want it, or are willing to throw away the international shipping on chance. </div>
