Can you add straps to a strapless dress?

I can't wear a strapless dress.... I have a scar that a strapless usually doesn't cover and my neck is a little thin and bony and it doesn't look right. I really like several strapless dresses and am wondering how they would look if we added straps? Maybe it would look dumb and would shout out "Look at me! They added straps!"  LOL

David's Bridal has an "add sleeves" option for some of their dresses ... http://www.davidsbridal.com/Browse_Bridal-Gowns-Features-Personalize-Your-Look-Sleeves I don't know if they can add them to all their dresses but it's worth a shot. And a lot of other dress designers have an add sleeves/straps option as well -- Maggies and Private Label by G come to mind. It's usually doable with most dresses I think.

In addition to the labels K Byte mentioned, I know Casablanca can do a custom bodice on any dress they sell. So you can turn a strapless gown into a v-neck, scoop-neck, spaghetti strap, whatever you need.
