So, FI and I are getting married in a small town. They only have one tuxedo place, which is fine. They don't carry the colour of green we have, which is also fine, but they do have navy, which is our other colour. It's a really nice satiny-finish, and not super dark. My mom still thinks that having a navy vest and a navy tie with black jacket and pants will look strange. I disagree. What do you gals think?

CMGr, thanks for the suggestion. The tuxedo shop we have available has very limited choices for the actual jackets and slacks. They only provide black, brown, or charcoal grey suits. Or white jackets and black slacks, which doesn't really look great, considering I have an ivory dress and it would look a little strange. Our ceremony begins at 1pm, and the reception is at 5:30pm.

cebrady, thanks for the response. It's a dark blue in the navy "family". Definitely not mistakeable for black.
