Photographer after wedding stress

Hey ladies,
I know I haven't been on in a while, I've been so busy since after the wedding.
I was just wondering if anyone else had issues with their photographers after the wedding? I just got my pictures back, and while they are beautiful, they were edited to an extreme amount. Since i got married in the winter I have a white background in some.. but in every one brightness was added and the contrast is up almost full notch. So I addressed these issues, and they want to charge me $200, ON TOP of everything I've already paid, for original, unedited pictures! Is this ridiculous or am I just wrong in assuming that good business would have them giving me an unedited copy at no extra cost?

But seriously, my dress blends in with the aisle runner and the deacons robe! That just doesn't seem right to me. I wanna hear other people's thoughts on this...

^^thats a link to view the slideshow photos, there are more pictures, but these are the best. Again, I'm not complaining about the pictures themselves (exept for the ones where he could have told me I was standing in front of a darn window that was too bright), just the editing quality.

It's common to charge for the unedited set.  Are the printed pictures an issue as well, or is it just the whites on a computer screen?  I think the photos are beautiful (but I like an 'overedited' look")  I can see what you mean about the white being turned up.

Instead of an unedited set, can you ask for corrections in the prints you order?  I bet it's something they can tweak for your album or pirnts.

    GL!

i think the pictures are gorgeous! i would just ask for a few of the ceremony shots to be toned down cause like you said, everything blends but other than that, I think they're great.

Aw thank you guys so much!

I haven't gotten any of the pictures printed yet, so I don't know how it will look.

Your pictures are stunning! I can see what you mean by them being "bright" but overall I think they are beautiful! Your wedding looks like it was so much fun!

I think the photos are gorgeous. Wish I had hired your photographer! (Although I'm confident mine is wonderful, too!)

I see what yo umean about the whiteness, but I like them. Just my opinion, though!

    I love these!
My photographer's idea of "editing" is apparently just making color photos into black and white or sepia...

I just looooove your photos!  I agree, the overblown look is a bit much, especially with pre-existing white backdrops, but the subjects of the photos look incredible!

I hope they can edit them to your liking!  Congratulations!
