Coordinating Bridesmaid shoes

I'm trying to coordinate the shoe color for my Bridesmaid (Since they all suggested  uniformity would look better in photographs) I'm just not sure what color would look better with their dresses. They are wearing an Alfred angelo dress-- I know its long but they want me to make the choice.. I need you help ladies Smile

The color is Claret-- not sure what color will go better.

  • What is Claret?  Would one of these colors go better with the rest of your color scheme?  I'd also suggest a nice, nude heel, goes with everything :)

not on your poll but what about nude?

  • Claret is the color of the dress in the picture. I didn't think about nude. Hmm Help!

  • It would be easier to find silver, gold, or black (or nude) shoes than matching shades of claret shoes. I opt for silver.

  • I think silver, gold, nude, and black would all look great!  I think claret would be really hard to find an exact color match.  If you aren't sold on a specific color, I'd say do black.  Black is way easier for your bridesmaids to find and they'll wear them after the wedding.  Cute silver and gold shoes are harder to come by than you'd think!
  • I think I just screwed up the vote. You now have even votes on black, silver or gold.

  • Silver seems like the best bet. I think it would be easier to find than nude (though I do like that idea, too) and a lot of girls may already have silver shoes, which would make it easier and cheaper.
  • I think I'd go with black.
  • I think any of the colors would go fine.  My BM dresses were eggplant, and I loved the idea of a nude or silver shoe, but we ended up just going with black because most of the girls already had black shoes they could wear.  I'd leave the choice up to them & go with what color most of them already have.  I honestly could not tell you what one pair of my BMs shoes looked like, much less the color.  I assume they all wore black but I really have no clue.

    Agreed!!
  • i used this site for shoes and the colors match the pics almost exactly. this color mattches the dresses!
  • I agree- black or silver- can't go wrong with either, and they likely may already have both in their closets- I'd poll them on what colors they own, and go with that. You won't go wrong either way!
  • I voted for black since it's most versatile afterwards.  Honestly, if they are wearing long dresses, the shoes won't show up in pictures.  My girls had long dresses.  We had an intentional photo of shoes and three had ivory (including me) and one had silver.  I told them ivory or silver, whatever they had.

Since I couldn't vote for more than one, I picked black, but I think silver would be nice too.
  • I voted for black because black goes with everything (for wearing them with other outfits after the wedding.)
