Romantic and high energy don't have to be mutually exclusive. You can still have a romantic outdoor reception followed by a great party. It is the music, food and the people who set the tone of the party. However, with what I assume will be a smaller guest list because it's a destination wedding, I think there is a cap on how high-energy the reception will be. Smaller number of people tends to be more sedate.
