Justin Alexander 8465 Alterations

Hi everyone! I'm considering ordering the Justin Alexander 8465.

I'm in the process of losing weight. I've lost 20 pounds in the past month. I'm a few days less than seven months away from the big day. I don't expect to lose 20 pounds a month between now and then, but hope to lose 10 pounds a month for the next 3-4 months then more like 5-8 pounds a month from then on down.

I know you should never order a dress smaller than you are when you order. I'm just wondering how much a dress can be taken in? Especially one with so much detail on the bodice.

I once ordered a dress online and ordered a size up b/c reviews said it ran small. The thing came and it was huge! I took it in to gett it sized and the woman told me there was no way b/c it was too big. I'm terrified that will happen with this dress.

The lady at the salon told me you have to order JA's with six month lead time or you won't get the dress in time. I was thinking of waiting until the end of this month (the six month mark) to order so I will have lost a bit more weight. So, what do I do?

[QUOTE]A dress can usually be taken in 1-2 sizes. Order the size that fits you the day you order.  You can't guarantee you'll lose the weight or where it will come off.  10 pounds a month for 4 months and then 5-8 more per month is a huge goal.  A lot of times, weight comes off easy at first and then you hit a wall getting the rest off.  Good luck!

  • I would be sure and talk with your consultant. They will know best what can feasibly be taken in on a dress and how much.

Thanks! I don't think it is too high of a goal since I'm literally seeing 5 doctors who are all working together to help me lose the weight. I have PCOS so weight loss is very important to controlling the symptoms. I'm taking medication to help with the weight loss. The numbers I was saying weren't just something I made up. That's what the doctors have laid out for me. :)
