online??

I'm on a major budget and heard that it's good to look for wedding dresses online. I've already picked out one that I like from David's Bridal and went in and tried it on and everything, so I know more or less what looks good on me. But the whole- not trying it on before I buy it- thing scares me to death.
Has anyone done that? Any suggestions? I'm looking at http://www.romanticgowns.com but I'm not sure where else to look either.
Thanks alot!

Re: online??

  • I wouldn't go through any place like that...there's been a lot of negative feedback on gowns that come from websites like that.
  • If you're on a tight budget, why not just pick a budget gown from a place where you can try on the gowns and be sure of what you're getting? DB has $99 sales on a regular basis, and a number of other affordable gowns at various price ranges.

Some other options that won't leave you compromising on quality: picking a white gown from a non-bridal designer (see Macy's and other department stores for ideas), and buying used. You can look for gently used gowns at thrift stores, an on websites like bravobride.com, preownedweddingdresses.com, and thegreenhangershop.com, in addition to our wedding classifieds board.
