where did you buy your wedding rings?

Wondering where every bought or will buy their wedding rings. I have seen a couple that I like on Overstock.com for really good prices. Anyone done this?

Re: where did you buy your wedding rings?

  • We bought ours at the same place he bought my engagement ring. They actually just came in!! :)

  • We went to Jared. Not my favorite place ever, but they had what we wanted.
  • We got ours at Zales which is also where he got my e-ring.  I would be careful at buying something like that from overstock.
  • Schwoeber...I love it! Congrats!  My ring is similar as is my band.  I've dropped some subtle, okay not so subtle, hints that I would LOVE the double wedding band.

My e-ring design has a matching band.  We're still looking for FI...we've looked at overstock but am just nervous about if something were to go wrong in the future.  If you and FI don't mind buying online, I've read reviews that it's an excellent source!
  • Local jeweler here in town.  I lurve my e-ring.  Now his wedding band I'm ordering online because there are MUCH better deals online.
  • Mine was hand made to match my e-ring (much cheaper than the band that came from the manufacturer) and H's was bought at a local jeweler where we live.

  • FI got my engagement ring and we'll get the matching band from bluenile.com - great selection & prices!

    my ring - Gordon's
    DH's first ring - Overstock.com
    DH's second ring - buy.com
  • Zales. All 3 of our rings came from there. I wanted the lifetime warrenties we got just in case.

  • We got all three rings (e-ring and both wedding bands) with lifetime warranties at Helzberg. They have been super nice since the first time we went, and have taken really good care of us!

Plus, Helzberg sends us greeting cards around all of the holidays now, LOL.
True, they have coupons in them, trying to get us to buy more jewelry, but they always cheer me up a little :)
  • My first setting came from Zales, but my skin was too acidic for the rhodium plating so we got is reset in a setting (e-ring and wedding band) from Jared.  FI's ring is also from Jared.  I like that everything is done on site as far as repairs are concerned, so if I need something fixed (or when I go to get it soldered together) it will only take a day or two, rather than a week or two.

I got his from a local jeweler called Gannaway Bros.

He got mine from Shane Co and I absolutely love it. I really couldn't be happier with it and they are relatively inexpensive while still being high quality.

  • We went back to the jeweler that my FI bought the ring from.  He has a friend that knows this guy and it was at an international jeweler location (there are multiple in one building).  We also went to a jeweler closer to home but he told us for a custom platinum and diamond band matching my ring it would be over $2,000.  I think we would have been paying the rent for his store.  Anyway, we got exactly that for $900 and my FI's ring for $475 which is white and yellow gold combo.  I think these places may be able to give a better deal since they have less overhead for store location.  My eng ring came with an appraisal (for insurance purposes) and also a GIA certificate that maps the diamond in case it is stolen so this is not a shady place.  Hope this helps you!

  • We went to Shane Company. Love the store!
  • we got my engagement ring made custom by a jeweler in town - we went to Spence Diamonds and I was very irritated by the time I left - I realize that my ring size (8.5)is slightly larger due to being plus size. but really not to have a single ring in the store bigger than a 7 honestly! i couldnt get even one past my second knuckle. We ended up going with the jeweler in town because he does amazing work and my ring was made start to finish in 11 days! We will be going back to him for a matching wedding bands for both of us. I like the custom part because it makes my ring  one of a kind and the mountain he proposed to me on is on my ring.
  • We also bought our wedding rings on bluenile - I was skepitcal about online but they came in like two days and were above my expectations.  I really like their selection and prices.
  • FI worked with a wonderful lady at Kay's and had my e-ring custom made.  He picked one ring with a setting he liked, and had them swap out the stones for what he wanted!  I have what started as a 3-stone ring with tiny diamonds channel-set on either side in the band, but he put a different diamond as the center stone and a sapphire on either side to make up the three.  I love it!  We went back to Kay's for our wedding bands.
