renaissance/medieval bell sleeves PIP

Does anyone have exp with adding sleeves to their wedding dress? and how much it cost?I am thinking of adding sheer type fabirc for long flowing sleeves to my dress
and tip or suggestions would be great!

 I want to add sleeves from 1st pic to dress in 2nd pic

  • I think that would be a question for a professional seamstress in your area. There are patterns sold by the major pattern companies (ie Butterick, Voge, Simplicity, McCalls) for (don't laugh) Renaissance costumes. You could just have a seamstress get the pattern and make it for you.

    Another idea may be to get in touch with your local SCA group (Society for Creative Anacronisms) if you're not already with them, they do medieval reenacting and I have many friends I've met through the SCA who are AMAZING seamstresses who I would go to in such a situation.  You can send a message to your local group and they would probably put the word out to see if anyone can be of assistance :)  Your name above says you're in the Pittsburgh area, here's the link to the local group, you can go to the 'about us' section and there's an email address to get in touch with the point of contact for new members, she may be able to find someone who can help you out :)
