I have several bridemaids that are already married and have kids (though the oldest are in their mid 30s and only a few years older than I am) and my mother and sister (MOH) keep telling me that I need to limit my bridemaid dress colors because I must consider my "older bridesmaids". Essentially they are telling me I need to do black - I would love to do a dark smokey blue or dark teal which I still feel would be appropriate. Anyone have any thoughts? Are they trying to infringe their opinions or do you think they have a point?
