Nashua Radisson

Hello,
Has anyone ever tried the food at the Nashua Radisson?
James and I visited last month and we like the idea of having our ceremoney & reception in one area and then everyone can stay over. I have really enjoyed working with the event manager but neither of us have ever had the food.
Any feedback welcome!
Thank you!!!!

This is not my personal opinion, but hearsay, but my younger sister had her prom there over this past weekend and when asked how the food was she said the food was not very good.

Is there a way for you to try it yourself? If so, that is definately what I would do.

i just went to a wedding there a few weeks ago.

the food was all right, butnot great. the first course was pasta, and it was kind of cold. i was served a vegetarian entree though, even though the bride didnt know and therefore didnt count me in the final.

In HS, I went to a friend's prom and I don't remember the food being all that great. Also, the (soda) bar kept running out... so the bartender ended up pouring out drinks from actual stock bottles.

Thank you for the feedback. Not really what I was hoping to hear but I like to have honest feedback. We are going to do the buffet style that way the food will be kept warm and individuals can take what they want. I know that the hotel use to be a Sheraton but was bought out by the Radisson. I guess we better try the food before we sign anything. Again, Thank you for the honest responses!

We're having our wedding there in July, and had our tasting back in February. I thought that the food we tried was delicious. I think it depends on what you're getting. We're going with a stuffed chicken and a seafood dish. My parents, FI's parents and the two of us loved both options. I didn't try the salad, but how horrible could salad be? The clam chowder we'll have for our appetizer was really good too. I did try the pasta dishes, and they weren't anything special, but we weren't looking to do pasta anyway.

I think you should go to their tasting and check things out. If you're working with Lynne, tell her what your concerns are. She's wonderful to work with! Good luck!

My cousin got married here back when it was still the Sheraton about 5 years ago. I remember the food (prime rib and chicken) being tasty, standard wedding fare. I'm not sure if they've made changes to the food since they changed over to the radisson, but I would say the food is good. I'd be careful with opinions from prom-goers, teenagers are among the pickiest of eaters. Best way to figure it out is to try it for yourself. Eat at the restaurant, if the restaurant is bad, chances are the function food will be worse (it's always harder to cook in bulk). If the restaurant is good, it's a safe bet that the function food will be on par.

    Megglez2008,
I have to agree with you, we went to the tasting as well in Jan and we thought it was great.  I'm glad we had the opportunity to actually taste the food because things that we would have picked off the menu like Mozzarella sticks (for the kids) we decided not to pick because we found other things that were WAY better.
Walking into the tasting I looked at my mom and was like "I don't want stuffed chicken"  we are getting married next October and the New England Stuffed chicken was great and complimented a fall wedding.  The toasted butternut squash soup with pumpkin seeds was excellent as well.
I am so overly pleased with the Radisson and how they are accommodating everything we have asked for so far.

I am having my wedding there in October, and too am concerned about the food.  The menu tasting was great, but we went to a wedding there on New years eve, and the food was dreadful.  She only had passed hot appetizers, but they were cold, and the mushroom puffs weren't even cooked enough!
I spoke to Lynne, and told her how disappointed I was in the food, and she assured me that she would make sure that everything was done properly.  I think you just have to be on top of them, but in a nice way.
I chose the Radison because of location, the fact that we can have our ceremony there, and that our out of town guests can stay there.
