Water spot on my dress!

Any suggestions?! I got my dress at a sample sale and just noticed a water stain on my dress.  My bridesmaids said it wasnt noticeable until I pointed it out. What do I do?! Attempt to dry clean it or just leave it?  I'm afraid of horror stories at the dry cleaners!!

i have yet to hear of any horror stories of dresses at the dry cleaners. as long as you go to a reputable one that has a lot of experience with wedding gowns there shouldn't' be a problem. ask on your local board if someone can suggest a place to you.

Ditto PP.  The only horror story I've ever heard was on that one episode of SYTTD, and I couldn't really see the problems they were pointing out.  FInd someone reputable on your local board or weddingwire.com

I would check with the store you bought it from or wherever you are planning on having your alterations done (if you are having any) they should know how to treat it.

I've got 1 story of a dry cleaners mess...but it was here in my town.  I would research thoroughly to find out the best way to treat it and then go from there.  If you're going to leave it with any cleaning company just make sure to read some reviews or ask around first.
