The Jersey Maid - convertible bridesmaid dresses

Has anyone ordered these or something similar?

I'm considering this option for my bridesmaids because I have 6 and 2 of them are very  busty, one is the complete opposite (A cup)...so it's been difficult finding a dress that everyone feels comfortable in.  I think this would offer flexibility at the top, where each girl could wear it whichever way she feels comfortable with and they look pretty comfortable.

I like the idea of different styles too, but in the same colour.  I originally wanted yellow dresses for our summer wedding, but our colours are yellow & grey, and these come in grey but not in yellow - so I'd be willing to choose grey.
Thoughts?

  • I will say that there have been many posters on here who have said that these dresses which are great in concept are not very flattering on many body types.  The fabric is stretchy and will show any lumps or lumps.  Is there a return policy?  If there is maybe have your girls order them and see what they look like on.  That way if they don't like them they can return them.

Well, since I would be ordering 6, they would only be $75 each, which I don't feel is super expensive for a bridesmaid dress...I think it's incredibly reasonable, actually...

But, I do agree that if the fabric is not right, it could be really wrong-looking lol...
I have purchased a few multi-way dresses and I've never had trouble wearing a bra or panties under them, but again - I'm sure that depends on the fabric...and the bottom on these specific ones is loose fitting, so I don't think panty lines would be a concern.

The owner of the shop was sweet enough to let me buy a sample dress from her, which my girls could try on and then I'll be able to see the fabric, etc...and see how everyone feels about it :)  I'll post pics of it when it comes in and I'll let you guys know how it goes!

  • Yeah I know what you mean, but I guess we'll see when the sample comes in! ;)

Everything you've mentionned is what I'm concerned about, but I'm still curious because, if you do click on my link, these seem different - and all of the photos are from real weddings, where you'll see all different shapes and the dress looks great on all of them...so this is why I'm willing to look into this option....

  • I am busty, and there is no way in the world I could wear that dress.  Unless you are maybe a B cup with perky little boobs, and have a perfectly shaped ass, I don't those dresses are flattering on most people.
