another dads question!

My FI and his BM are wearing gray tuxs (im not sure if its a suit or a tux) But there are not wearing the jackets , just the vest pants shirt tie. 

My mom keeps asking me what my dad should wear, since he will be walking me down the isle. 

We are getting married on the beach in august, thats why the boys arent wearing jackets, it will be to hot. 

I have no idea what to suggest to my dad to wear. Should he wear like nice pants and a button down shirt? I really have no friggin clue and they are kind of putting this in my hands.. so please help!

I think nice pants or khakis with a button down shirt and tie would look nice. Or if it's not a very formal wedding, I've seen people do polos and khakis even.

I think a shirt and tie without a jacket looks really unfinished, and khakis and a polo are far too casual if the WP is wearing shirt, tie and vest.  Have your dad wear a suit with the jacket.  He can always take off the jacket after he sits down if it's too hot.
