Any Bridal Gown Stores with Dress $'s Between Kleinfelds and Davids Bridal?

Davids Bridal seems like a factory of lower end wedding dresses (however haven't completely ruled it out) and Kleinfelds is on the expensive end.

There must be stores for women that want dresses above $500 but below $2000.

Any ideas for shops in NYC or Westchester?

  • Post this on your local board are you are more likely to get responses that will help you out. :) My only advice is to google bridal salons near you and check them out.
  • You may want to check out designer websites and find out what stores in your area carry the dresses.

Lines to consider would be Maggie Sottero, Allure Bridals, Essense of Australia, Mori Lee
  • Casablanca gowns are in the $600-$1500 range.

  • I am not sure about the local-availability of it but Alfred Angelo! Especially for dresses that involve color, AA is the best!

But, DB does have some expensive dresses!

  • I think most "regular" bridal shops fall somewhere in the middle. Every place I went besides Kleinfeld's itself had dresses in that range.

I bought a Pronovias, and it was $1600 (but $500 for alterations) at the flagship NYC store.

Post this on the Hudson Valley board too-- they'll have dress shops for you...
  • In NYC The Designer Loft has a great selection of mid-range gowns! And I thought their staff was fab! I ended up getting my gown in Boston, but I went to lots of shops! Also, althought Kleinfelds has high range, they also have mid-range prices. I didn't have a good experience there, but I know other brides that did.

I also second the idea of finding designers you like and then looking to see where they are sold. There are several other salons in NYC that exclusively offer certain designers (like Demetrios at Macy's Bridal salon, etc.). Good luck!
  • Try Cymbaline--their dresses are really pretty and reasonable.
