Rent a wedding dress?

Has anyone tried to rent a dress in in the NoVa area? I'd rather not buy a dress as I'll have no need for it after the wedding day. I don't see grooms saving their tuxes...  I've considered the used dress sites as a last resort since it looks like most people are selling their dresses for the tag price and there is no the try before you buy.

I feel scammed in to buying a dress!!

alot of brides are selling for way less then what they bought dresses for- why not go to  a used bridal shop in your area I got a maggie dress for $200- I know there is one place around that rents wedding dresses but there between 200-1000 for the day and there way older styles... try craigslist

I hear ya! I also want to rent a dress.... but it doesn't look like that is possible where I live. So I'm going to all the stores trying to find the dress that I love... and then I will look for it online to see if someone is selling the dress second-hand. After the wedding, i will probably re-sell the dress. Good luck!

Renting might really be a possibility for you where you live though. Try posting this on your local board and see if anyone has any recommendations for you.
