Bridael veil fabric. Worth it?

I have a question if it is worth it to spend more money on a veil made out of silk tulle instead of bridael illusion. When I was going to bridal stores they were saying how expensive veils can run because if you skimp on it, the veil will be very itchy. How does the standard "bridal illusion" feel?

  • are you planning on wearing your veil all night??  i made my veil out of simple tulle but i am only wearing it for the ceremony.

  • I'm just wearing it during the ceremony. Is bridal illusion fabric itchy???
  • I made my own veil out of bridal illusion and didn't find it itchy.
  • I wore a 2-tiered bridal illusion veil for pictures and the ceremony, with the blusher over my face as I walked down the aisle. It wasn't itchy at all. It was mostly out of my way, actually; mine was fingertip length.

If you have a shoulder length veil I *guess* I can see how the edges might tickle you a bit, but shoulder length veils aren't very popular now anyway.

Don't listen to the store ladies, they're just trying to make an extra buck off a sucker bride.
