I need help.
I've never thought of myself as a particularly girly girl, and I don't think I've gotten too caught up in the "perfect day, perfect moment" fairy tales that surround weddings. I know I'm lucky to get to spend the rest of my life with my fiance, and that's what's important. I can deal with the mediocre photographers, the crazy relatives, the funfetti cake (don't ask).
So I can't figure out why I'm so stuck in the dress area. I know it doesn't have to be perfect, but I can't even find something that seems almost right. I've gone to bridal shops and looked through every page on Etsy (literally!) and I just don't know where to look now.
I know I want something simple, preferably with some lace. I'm leaning more toward "summer dress" than something in the "bridal gown" milieu. But I'm stumped. I've run out of things to Google. I live in a sort of quiet part of South Carolina, so I don't have many boutiques I could go to and try things on. So what do I do? Is it time to give up and start trying to find someone who can make the dress for me?
Any sites, stores or ideas about simple dresses would be most appreciated. I'm going a little nuts here. Help?
