Executive Court in Manchester?

Just wondering if anyone has held their reception there? And how many guests you had....We are planning a June 30th wedding there next year with about 200 guests and just want people's thoughts.

Thanks for any info/ideas/tips/stories you have Smile

My reception is there on 10/1. We are having about 170 guests. So far they have been very responsive and food tasting was great! I'll let you know how it all went after the wedding!! :)

We also chose this venue for our day, June 8th of next year. They have all been really helpful so far. Just don't choose Divine Linens to do your chair covers. I thought they looked terrible when we toured there, but they will swap it out for another company. Other people that responded and stated they are horrible to get in touch with as well.
We are having around 120 guests, and they made an exception to allow us to have the bigger room because we liked the set up better.
    Good luck!

Are you ladies doing the package or just the food and then figuring out the linens, centerpieces and cake yourselves? I am still torn on what to do.
They have been pretty good about getting back to us so far, they even let my mom go and see the hall without us because she was away when we went to see it.

I actually chose just to do the food there.. package B that includes all the hor d ouerves. We are having 176 and I was able to save money by booking my own vendors separately.

Somehow I missed this one... I share my date of Oct 1 at the Executive Court with redsoxfan619!!! Our guest list is about 100-120. We are doing the package, the big difference I found with the package pricing is that it includes the meals tax and the gratuities. Those $$ really add up. For 200 people I'm not sure who it would work out, its prob. better not to but you'll have to play with the numbers. Give some of the vendors a call to get quotes - Jacques cakes are wonderful!! And we went with PJ's flowers - Patrick is great to work with and he kept everything withing the budget!!

Yeah, the tax & gratuity is pretty much the ONLY reason I would want to do the twin heart package. I feel like I can get better prices if we do the vendors ourselves but I don't want to get screwed with the tax & gratuity. I am going to call around to Fredericks & Jacques for a cake quote. And then speak with Patrick at PJ's who I have heard great things about!!! What the average price you guys are finding for cake, flowers and linens? Thanks for all the inside info ladies :)

My sister got married at the executive court 3 weeks ago. It was a very beautiful ceremony and reception. Just a few words of advice:

    1. Have things spelled out for the wedding coordinator. She was very helpful in the months and weeks up til the wedding until the rehearsal ....  At the rehearsal she was more of a hinderance than a help. Its your day so tell her exactly what you want!

    2. Make sure the food choice of each guest is CLEARLY marked. (Perhaps do different color text or bows on the namecards, etc.) The lighting is a lot darker for more of a romantic feeling during dinner so it can be difficult for the waiters and waitresses to see the meal choices.

    3. Don't be afraid of an overcast day! The whole day of my sister's wedding it was overcast and even sprinkled and misted off and on. She decided to risk it and still do the wedding outdoors. It was perfect. No one noticed the weather and the pictures came out perfect because no one was squinting and there was no glare!

    Hope these comments help!

    Hi Guys,

So my sister just had her wedding at the executive court on July 29th, and i think the only thing I can say is that she looked gorgeous and so did the grounds. Other than that I dont have another nice thing to say. We had Donna for the coordinator and she was great until the rehearsal night, as of that night she became rude, ignorant and didnt help with anything. She bossed the bride, groom and bridal party around she ignored questions she didnt want to answer. So here we are already feeling completely unsure and very uncomforable for the wedding day. And then the wedding day, oh the wedding day was terrible. Donna kept disappearing we had no idea where to go the photographer was completely unaware because we had no direction from Donna, my sister was running around tryign to find where to meet with everyone, so now on a rainy humid day her flowers were limped and dying and she was sweatig before even reaching the walkway. Donna started yelling at us to hurry u-p and we ALL ended up running down the aisle and were unable to get many pics. People later came to us asking who was chasing us. The reception was terrible, they screwed up seating plans they served minors champagne, and Donna mid reception pulled me into her office (i was maid of honor) and let me know to tell poeple to stop complaining and that they were not be held responsible for any mishaps. So now we tried calling missy and she was rude and absolutely unprofessional about our concerns so my mom fought for days and finally got a hold of the owner, He was worse! He called us liars and even hugn up on the phone on my mother. This all is from her wedding July 29th, 2011. Donna even took pieces off the guys corsages on their shirts and ruined the florists ensambles against the bride and grooms wishes. It was horrible my sister is already planning their second wedding because of how bad it all went all because of Donna. Theres a lot more too but I just feel that i would sound too despressing to all the soon to be brides. My recommendation, look elsewhere for a place because this place did make a mistake and now can;t even be professional enough to deal with a brides concerns of her supposed to be best day.
