I just went to pick up my dress from David's and I noticed that the pleated sash was twisted on one side. I didn't think this would be a big deal to fix, but the woman in alterations told me that she would have to take apart the whole middle of the dress to do this, and that it was really the manufacturers fault.
They said they will call me on Monday to tell me if A) David's alteration people will be able to fix it or

They will have to order a new dress. If they have to reorder, it could take 15 weeks to get here and the wedding is 14 weeks away. AH!
First of all, I don't really want the David's people touching my dress bc I have heard bad things about their alterations department. But if they have to reorder I'm al little scare dthat some other defect will arrive. Do you think I would be able to say, "Can I get a different dress, one you have in stock so you don't have to order it?" I'm okay getting a different style dress, but I know that David's has a "no return" policy.
Has anyone exchanged or returned their dress from David's Bridal? If so was it difficult and what did you do to make that happen?
Thanks... I'm a little worried!
Advice, please!
