Champagne Dress - what color for his shirt

Hi Ladies,

So I finally got my champagne colored wedding dress and I am so excited but now I cant figure out what to do about the groom's shirt.  We are doing a destination wedding so he will not be wearing a jacket or suit, instead he is wearing Brown pants and a button up.  We have had trouble finding an ivory or champagne dress shirt that does not look yellowish.  What do y'all suggest?  Is white going to make my dress look dirty and we need to get off white for him or do we say screw it and just have him wear a white shirt.

The guys should go with white.  It would look odd with any other color.

You said they're doing brown pants with a button-up shirt?  What about a linen shirt that is of a more organic-looking shade, with some tan hues in it?  Most department stores have shirts like that in the mens section, maybe Tommy Bahama at Macy's if you want to look there.  Just my idea though... others seem to prefer white.  Do what works best for you and your groom!

Absolutely white will be fine.  My dress was champagne and his shirt was white - granted he had on a dark grey suit but no one will ever notice the colors. Plus different shades of white work together.  I promise! 

Plus no one looks at the boys, all eyes will be on you!

My girlfriend got married in that dress last year.  Very nice.

I agree with everyone and say that white is fine.

White does not make ivory look dirty.  It makes ivory look ivory.  They're two different colors.  Orange is not a dirty yellow, it's the same principle.

Everyone, thank you so much for the input!! Kelly, I guess I should have clarified.  We are trying to determine the shirt for my fiance but the boys are wearing a baby blue shirt.  So that is determined.  I may look into linen shirts but I feel much better about the comments so far if we go with white.  And to the ladies with the dress comments....Thank you so much, I am so glad that y'all like my dress, that makes me feel so good about my choice!!
