BM attire - Reasonable compromise?

So, I know if you require any accessories that are not your standard "I already have this in my closet" that you're supposed to buy them, but I want to get your ladies opinion on this.  Our colors are teal & black, and I'm letting girls pick their own above-the-knee dresses.

I would prefer for my girls to have teal dresses & black accessories.  I was going to purchase or make jewelry, and I figure everybody has at least 1 pair of dressy black shoes in their closet.

For whatever reason one or more of them can't find a teal dress that they are comfortable with, I'm okay with letting them do a black dress with teal accessories.  I'm assuming most of them have at least one LBD, and I was going to buy the jewelry anways, so that would just leave shoes.  Most of them probably don't have teal shoes, but then they'd hypothetically only need to purchase a pair of shoes instead of a dress.

Sound fair?

There are lost of teal dresses out there, are you sure you've exhausted the options?

I think either is fine, but it would be nice if you buy the shoes if you go the teal route...how often will most people wear teal shoes again?

What about black dresses and black shoes with heavy teal accessories and flowers?

 Just a little thought... What color are their flowers going to be? If they are going to be teal, don't you think they might get a little lost, being close to their dresses?

Flowers will be not be teal, so no worries there. There's still plenty of time, it was just an idea that popped into my head just in case.

If you really can't find teal dresses, then I would go with black dresses and black shoes with teal accessories.   If you could let them pick their own black dress, that would be awesome (they probably already have one, or can pick out one the know they'll wear aagain).

Teal is our color too. There are a ton of companies that make dresses in teal. My BM dresses are from Alfred Angelo and we went with the color called "tealness." They have a ton of short dresses that come in this color.
