Brides with low back dresses

Hi Ladies,
How did you support "the girls" in your low back gown? My dress is zipper backed so I won't have the support a corset offers, and the back is too low for a strapless bra. I was thinking about having the cups sewn in. Did this work for you, or are there better options out there? Help please :)

Re: Brides with low back dresses

  • I had cups sewn in, and I LOVED them. Fidgeting with strapless bras has always been a pet peeve of mine.
  • You guys are soooo lucky to be able to just sew some cups in and get the suport , I have always wanted to get a dress or heck even a halter top or anything with a low back but havent been able to since I was 9. I can't even get strapless bras to work even with the clear straps because the straps make the back come up to high. and btw opalsky I love your siggy pics I envy your elegance
  • DD's dress has both the cups and appropriately sized crinoline sewn in. This particular shop does that with all of their dresses.  DD is fairly busty, her dress has a low back but the cups seem to hold her very well.
  • Thanks for the responses ladies! I think I will bring a low-back bra to the fitting and try the cups and see what is most comfortable. I'd definately like the cups sewn in if they can do the job!
  • Aww, thanks, Killeen.
  • I got a bustier, and the shop lowered the back for me at a minimal cost ($7, I believe). It works wonders!
