So my husband to be and I, along with the bridal party really want to be fun and wear chucks (low top converses). You obviously won't see mine because my dress is long enough, but with our colors being royal and orange, we were going to have the bridal party where royal so that it matches the girls dresses exactly, and doesn't stand out. The groomsmen will wear the same color so that match as well. My parents think it is fine and said that we should do what we want because it is our wedding, but his parents really don't like the idea and think it is disrespectful to the church. His mom doesn't want them in the pictures, but I do not want the party to have to spend anymore money on shoes (we are buying the chucks for them as a gift).
I am very untraditional, and very colorful. We are doing everything else completely traditional, which I do like, but I just wanted a little twist on it. I do not think it is a big deal because, as I said the shoes match the dresses to a tee, and you won't see mine.
I don't want his parents to be upset, and they are the only ones really not thrilled with the shoes, so what do you think?
