Two bridal shops in One day?? Too much??

I've never tried on wedding gowns before, and have not yet gone to look.  I have one Saturday coming up where my MOH and my schedules have finally coordinated, so I made 2 appointments on the sme day (a few hours apart).  Does anyone think this will be too overwhelming?? Should I cancel one??

  • No.  I have done three in one day, while I don't recommend doing that, I think you'll be just fine going to two.  As long as it isn't a logistical nightmare with the distance etc.

  • I did 3 the one day, it isn't that bad. We probably looked at about 20 gowns and had a top 1 or 2 from each salon. As a first time trip though it might be a bit much but it might not.
  • if you have an idea of what kind of dress that you want, it shouldn't be a problem. What you can do is look for similar styles of what you want online, then it makes the appointments much easier.

  • Yeah, I've done 3 in one day too (and I don't recommend it either).  Since you're having your MOH go with you to both and you have a little break between stores, it would be nice to treat her to lunch because this won't be as fun for her.  Just a thought.

  • Thanks everyone!!! Im very excited for my dress-up day! And also, a good idea about taking the MOH out for a lunch treat! Thanks!
  • I did 3 in one day, although, that ended up being my only day because I found the dress that day.  I agree with PP that knowing what style you want is extremely helpful, but also listen to the saleswomen because they will know what works well for your body type.

  • Have you been to either of these shops and seen what they have on the racks or are you just going in for an appointment to try on? I've been to three dress shops in a day, but I didn't try anything on at any of them because I didn't see any dresses I liked that were in my price range. If you plan on just going in to try on I would bring in pictures of styles you like to help your day go a little more smoothly.

  • I think it is fine, as long as you factor in enoug travel time. I had 3 appointments in a day and ended up stressing a ton over the 3rd and missing it because we hit SO much traffic. I agree 3 is too stressful but two is completely fine.
