Hello! I am getting married in September of 2013 and I really love a dress by Alfred Angelo. It's 8507 but I can't find any photos of brides online.

Did anyone purchase this dress? It is going to need a lot of alterations and I wanted to see it on a real bride and hear about their experience before I commit!

That's not my dress, but I have a Maggie sottero that is also going to need a ton of alterations. I'm 4'11 so I need more than a foot lifted from the bottom of my dress, roughly 100 pick-ups will be getting added on. All I can say is research your seamstress, read reviews from every site you can find. If the shop your getting your dress from has an in site seamstress they might have some kind of policy that they replace it if it gets messed up.

Thanks for the advice! I was loving Maggie dresses but they just weren't for me when I tried them on but they are gorgeous! The AA dress is two pieces so the underneath piece will need the strap shortened and I will need to add extra fabric to the bottom. I tried in a 12 but I was too big so the keyhole back didn't stay tight on my back and the straps had to get clipped but I know it's just something that will need to be altered to fit my body. I love the dress and I can envision it once it is altered. i'm just nervous because I can't find anyone who has it!

Yea that's the tough part, even if you were to find someone who has the dress likely their alterations would be vey different from yours!! I did the same thing before I ordered my dress, and every picture I did find was of a taller person with a completely differ t body type!! Good luck!!
