bridesmaid dress length

My daughter is planning to be married in May of 2011, in church during the afternoon, followed by an evening reception in a ballroom. My question is, what length bridesmaid dresses would be appropriate in this case?

I personally am a fan of Tea Length. Especially for spring.

It really is the preference of the bride these days. The wedding is in the spring so short is appropriate. The ceremony is in the afternoon also making shorter dresses appropriate. The reception is in the evening allowing long to be appropriate as well so really it's her choice. I prefer long or knee length to dresses that hit mid calf since I'm so short. She could always see what her bridesmaids prefer if she is open to that.
