Chair covers

Hi Ladies,

I think this question has been asked before, but I'm still debating if I'm going to do chair covers or not.  I'm really trying to cut down and save money now, but are they worth it?  If you're not going with them, may I ask your reasoning?

Also, do you know of any companies who rent them, preferably near the Keene, NH area.

TIA!

We wanted to do them right up until the week of the wedding but it just wasn't going to happen in our budget.  So we skipped it and honestly I never noticed and don't think anyone else did either.

I want them, but I am sure that we are skipping them.  With the company I checked into it was going to be an extra $600 to rent them with sashes.  I looked into buying them, but I didn't want to have to worry about pressing them and getting someone else to set them up!

We are doing them, they are $6 a chair for the cover and sash, our facility has a company they go through... it is a crappy extra expense but the chairs don't look dressy enough at the place we are using.

We upgraded to a gold ladder-back chair and my FI did some negotiating with the folks at our venue and got them for $1.50 per person rather than the original $3.75 per person.  It's a little savings, but it adds up, and it was a lot cheaper than the covers with the sashes.  It might be worth it to try and bargain a little...

We did them and I would absolutely say it is worth the $. As others have said, it won't make or break your wedding but they are an awesome extra that make a huge difference. We used Divine Linens. I was not super thrilled with their customer service but they were the only company who would travel to us and they do have a beautiful product.

Everyone commented on how beautiful they were, how much they tied our colors in, and how beautiful they looked in pictures.

If you have the $ - go for it.

    Good luck making your decision!

Party by Design is right on Park Ave. in Keene. They rent chair covers. I'm not sure of the price. I know my mom was able to find some online for cheaper than rentals. We're going to purchase them and then sell them on e-bay or save them for my sisters wedding.

I really love the look of chair covers and are of the "if you can then do it" nature.

That being said we are not doing them haha

We were originally doing them with our old venue but at our new venue the chairs are white and really pretty. We opted to do table runners (to add some color) and floor length linens. Which are both still cheaper than chair covers.

Ultimately, its not that big of a deal, but if you can afford it and want it then go for it.

We're skipping them.  While I think they look nice, I can't bring myself to spend the money on them.  Honestly, I don't feel like people would really notice or care all that much about it.

I want them so badly myself, but I just don't think I can bring myself to pay for them. Just seems a bit unnecessary. They look very nice, but I just can't justify over $6 per chair. They are pretty standard black chairs and since I'm having a black and white wedding, I don't think they'll clash that much.

We're still on the fence also....the chairs at our site are hunter green and not that attractive, but with approximately 80 chairs x $6 each, that's $480.00....for chair covers!!

Like many other knotties....we want them, but may have to take them out of the budget since we're already exceeding our original plan.  We have over a year to make the final decision though.

Our venue's chairs are super ugly so of course, we planned them into our budget. I think they make the place look nice but if you can't afford them it's not going to break your wedding.
