Help: Shoe & Necklace to match the dress?

Hi all,

Allow me to preface with, "I am terrible" at creating outfits. Jeans, converse, and a cotton tee are pretty much my standard outfit. Oh, or gym clothes. :)

I found a gorgeous Claire Pettibone dress that I bought for our August wedding, and I'm having the toughest time trying to figure out shoes/accessories. I've goggle searched the dress so many times and similar ones to try and see how other folks have paired it up, but I can't see the shoes! grrrr...

I am hoping that you all can throw some suggestions my way about shoes and possibly necklace types.

The blessing ceremony is going to take place outside in a forest, and the afterparty will take place in a "fancy" (but relaxed atmosphere) restuarant about two miles away.

The dress, is beautiful, it's the Queen Anne's Lace dress, and it's not white, but a very very faint pinkish-tea stain color. (You can check it out here: http://clairepettibone.com/bridal/?cp=gowns/queen-annes-lace )

Here are some images of the dress that I could find:

  • That's a gorgeous dress.  I love Claire Pettibone.

In general, I think you should go minimal on your accessories.  Between the lace and the ribbon, the dress is pretty dressed up already.  Keep your accessories simple and small.  If you wear a necklace (I probably wouldn't), just make a simple pendant.  A pearl on a thin chain would be really pretty.

Don't stress about your shoes too much, either.  Most people aren't going to see much of them.  I would look for a gold or champagne shoe to match the ribbon.
