Colors??

Apologies if I put this in the wrong board section, this is only my first post!

I am recently engaged, and trying to picture what my wedding will look like.  I know that I want a deep, bright purple to be the main color, but I am having a hard time envisioning what other colors would work. 

The wedding is to be in July, and I'm hoping to have pictures done on the beach, along with an out door reception, which is why I'm hesitant to go with silver...silver seems very formal for what I am hoping for....any ideas out there??

Purple with pinks is pretty. Or incorporate whites and ivory.

I think a light blue, light pink, or light purple would look good.

My BM are wearing purple, the flowers will be light spring colors, pink, green, light purple, etc.

You could just do purple (maybe shades of purple).

What does your FI think? Maybe use his favorite color as the other color.

I think the deep purple and ivory would be gorgeous! Just keep playing around with the colors...you are newly engaged, the planning is so much fun! Good luck and enjoy!

What sort of vibe are you going for?  If you're thinking a jewel-toned purple, pair it with other jewel tones or deep colors for an elegant, classy look; with a muted color like grey or ice blue for something modern, or with a bright color like teal for something fun.  It's all about the feel you want.  I think silver could be an accent for any of these combos without skewing the tone too much, it's not a terribly loaded color.
