do bridal salons charge?

I am about to start making appointments to try on dresses and i was curious if most bridal salons charge a sitting fee or appointment fee to go in and meet with a consultant and try things on? like on say yes to the dress....do you pay for that time slot? if so, what do they run? can anyone help?

No, you shouldn't have to pay.

I've only heard of one place in my area that does - and I didn't bother. You shouldn't have to pay. Definitely don't at David's and smaller boutiques.
